Rejection Is Redirection To Greatness
Share
I sell our handmade goods at 2 to 4 farmers markets every week among thousands of people. I talk to just about everyone that walks by.
"We've got natural soaps for dudes! Take a smell, try it out, we brought the whole kitchen sink!"
And hey, I get rejected, a lot. More often than I get sales. But I also sell a lot of our goods and meet some great people! And if I don't talk to anyone, I make no sales or connections and that’s just not an option. So rejection is inevitable.
It took some time to get used to all of this. The mix of busy sales and the rejection, it's a lot to take in. But after some trial and error, practice and wisdom, I've learned to enjoy it, all of it. I continue to work hard while also trusting the process.
Rejection is redirection to greatness.

My wife gave me a piece of wisdom, "the right people will come into your life and buy, and the wrong people will walk away, and that is a blessing".
Her message really had an impact on me. The people that are ready for our goods, our soaps, etc. they will buy, and they do. I'll connect with the right customers at the right time. And the wrong people, the people that aren't ready for our goods, they'll walk away. That's a blessing! This mindset creates more flow, faith and sales with less force and frustration.

Learning how to handle rejection and failure without playing the victim sets you up for greatness. Every time you get back up and keep moving forward, you get stronger and smarter. This is what molds you into the person that's able to handle the greater success and responsibilities that you're headed for.
The journey isn't always fun and is downright brutal at times. But when you embrace it and practice self-care along the way, I've found the dips and valleys to be much more pleasurable. You can find joy in all of it. Because you know that it's all working for your good.

Next time you get rejected, fall down, or lose at something, take advantage of it. Find the silver lining, brush your shoulders off and continue moving forward. You're becoming your best self in the process.
We'll see you out there, dude!
