In the face of immense challenges and uncertainties, JR embarked on an inspiring journey in 2020, launching SCFD from the depths of the wilderness. Leaving behind a prosperous 17-year career in the music industry, he embraced the unknown with resilience and a commitment to self-discovery. Through years marked by health and financial hurdles, his unwavering dedication to self-care and his internal growth led him to turn pain into purpose, cultivate creativity with products and video content, foster a community, and nurture business ventures.
JR's relentless pursuit culminates in the successful release of SCFD’s innovative line of soaps and goods, backed by a thriving community of over 270,000 followers who have commented over 255,000 times among 27 million views. His story is a testament to the transformative power of perseverance and bold action.
JR creates the products, formulas and art concepts. You can also find him selling at the farmers markets two to four days a week.

A part of the team since it was founded in 2020, he has played a crucial role in shaping the foundation of SCFD’s visual identity. Despite facing a multitude of obstacles and challenges, his unwavering dedication to the mission persists.

Joining the team during the early years of Self-Care For Dudes, Ethan has been instrumental in shaping its success, taking charge of key marketing responsibilities and driving impactful initiatives that inspire growth and connection.
Hand Crafted by Us
Our soaps first start with a purpose, a solution to an issue and a unique shower experience. From this foundation, we then set out to formulate the greatest soap known to dude using the very best ingredients, real artwork and self-care wisdom. One that won’t dry you out, awakens your senses, and enhances your manly essence using no synthetic fragrances or chemicals. It took much time, blood, sweat and tears because great things don't come easy.
After our unique saponification process, we then cure each bar for five to seven weeks allowing the ingredients and scent blends to truly become one. We then design meaningful artwork that sets the visual tone for each theme.
